Association believes that part of the problem for insomniacs is dirty bedding. She suggested people who ca not stop snoring once they have drifted off may be suffering from allergies, which are triggered by dust and mites present in the bed sheets. "Allergens can cause snoring, so make sure you have anti-allergic bedding, vacuum clean the mattress frequently and change your pillows every few months," Mrs Davey advised. The sleep expert emphasised the importance of good take house cleaning and stated that bedrooms should be kept free from clutter. She indicated people who have televisions, radios or other distractions in their sleeping quarters are less likely to get the maximum amount of rest they need. Although take cleaning companies can clearly help people get to sleep, recent research published in the European Respiratory Journal indicated there are plenty of other factors that can cause either snoring or insomnia. It suggested a Mediterranean diet combined with plenty of physical exercise can help reduce the symptoms of sleep apnoea.
